초 록 [국문]
This study aimed to examine how the story of a counselee that unfolded in sandtrays continued and how symbolic images changed after the end of the therapy sessions. To this end, this study applied three rounds of sandplay therapy to client, who was aged six and had selective mutism, at an interval of one to two years for five years. Among the sand boxes she made in the process, a total of six sandtrays including one during an early period and one during a late period were analyzed according to Dora Kalff’s sandplay therapy theory and techniques based on Jung’s analytical psychological theory. The result was that over the course of five years, Client continued her own life story and in the process achieved development in her contact with her Self, ego, animus, and recovery of femininity and rebirth. In conclusion, despite an interval of one to two years, Client continued a story that stopped in the previous round in the next round beyond time. Moreover, figures that appeared at the end of the previous round and symbolic images that stopped then emerged as connecting links here and there of the first sandtray of the next round of sandplay therapy and moved alive.
